Anthony Joshua prepares to battle the American YouTuber in an eight round contest which will be broadcast live on Netflix.
Briton Anthony Joshua declared he will "stamp all over" the American and "overpower" the American as the two fighters met personally to build hype for next month's bout.
Ex twice world heavyweight champion Joshua meets YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul - in what is, theoretically, a massive mismatch - at Miami's venue on December 19th.
Boxer's Mindset
"I'm going to damage his features and break his body up. I aim to demonstrate I'm the better fighter," Joshua, 35, declared.
"I will dominate him completely. That's a fighter's mentality.
"I will really want to injure him. That's my goal."
Civil Exchange
In spite of those words, a calm Anthony Joshua and internet personality Jake Paul - normally famous for his theatrics - were respectful and kept it respectful with each other.
Paul instead targeted former Joshua rival the Cameroonian fighter and described him as "a joke" after Ngannou rejected a fight offer.
Taking Aim at Tyson Fury
Joshua, at the same time, criticized British opponent Tyson Fury - and rejected a £1m bet 'Tyson Fury' says he will place on a Paul victory.
"[Paul] outshines Tyson Fury - he's actually sitting here," the boxer commented.
"I acknowledge that."
Legitimate Fighter
In spite of stating he plans to punish Paul, Anthony Joshua declined to speak negatively about his opponent's fighting skills.
"Jake is a legitimate boxer," he stated.
Jake Paul's History
Jake Paul - who first rose to fame on the television network - has mainly fought mixed martial artists or past-their-prime fighters since entering professional boxing.
He was defeated by British fighter Tommy Fury in 2023.
Commercial Attraction
Still, the relative newcomer remains one of the sport's greatest money-making draws, consistently making huge paydays.
Prediction and Belief
The 28-year-old anticipated a stoppage in the fourth or fifth round and claimed he would derail the highly-expected Joshua–Fury fight, which is allegedly being planned for 2026.
"It will be myself against Tyson Fury in the coming year," Paul said.
Physical Difference
As both boxers engaged in the usual stare-down, with their size difference on show, it highlighted just how surprising this complete situation is - and how astonishing it is that the fight is actually going ahead.
